Desecularization of Serbian Society and the Study of Monastery Bricks (1981 -1998)

AB  - Changes in religiosity that took place in Serbia in the 1980s and 1990s have been a subject of sociological studies, but they can also be reviewed by having insight into paradigmatic research literature and scientific projects of the time. In the period of scarce publications about Orthodox heritage, and the rise of religious-theological publications, researchers from the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies of the University of Belgrade (CMS) and SASA investigated the composition and structure of Serbian monastery bricks. From 1981 to 1998, several publications on the topic of monastery bricks appeared, in which the academician and head of the CMS materials science group Momčilo Ristić had a prominent role. The work of the researchers gathered around the joint venture was motivated by their desire to explore national culture, tradition and history, and inspired by the durability of building materials and their aesthetic value. Realized at the time of desecularization, this project contributed to the promotion of Orthodox heritage in Serbia. The first phase involved medieval Serbian monasteries, while the second included the monasteries of Fruška Gora. The project whose conception and context are studied in this paper, is a connection of methods and techniques used by materials science on one side, with medieval studies, archaeology and history of art, architecture, science and technology studies on the other. For the CMS researchers, it was not a one-off initiative finished at the end of the last century, as this type of research continued throughout the first and the second decade of the 21st century.
AB  - Promene u religioznosti koje su se odigrale u Srbiji tokom 1980-ih i 1990-ih godina bile su predmet socioloških studija, ali se one mogu sagledati i uvidom u paradigmatičnu stručnu literaturu i naučne projekte tog vremena. U periodu nedostatka publikacija o pravoslavnom nasleđu i porasta broja religijsko-teoloških publikacija, istraživači Centra za multidisciplinarne studije Univerziteta u Beogradu (CMS) i SANU istraživali su sastav i strukturu manastirskih opeka. Od 1981. do 1998. godine publikovano je više izdanja koja za temu imaju opeke srpskih manastira, u čemu je istaknutu ulogu imao akademik i šef Odseka za nauku o materijalima CMS-a Momčilo Ristić. Rad istraživača okupljenih oko zajedničkog poduhvata bio je motivisan interesovanjem za nacionalnu kulturu, tradiciju i istoriju kao i estetikom, te dugovečnošću materijala upotrebljenih za gradnju. Realizovan u vremenu desekularizacije, ovaj projekat je doprineo prezentaciji i promociji srpske kulturno-istorijske baštine. Prvu fazu projekta karakteriše istraživanje srpskih srednjovekovnih manastira, dok su drugom fazom obuhvaćeni fruškogorski manastiri. Projekat čiji se koncepcija i kontekst proučavaju u ovom radu, predstavlja vezu metoda i tehnika koje se koriste u nauci o materijalima sa jedne strane, sa medievistikom, arheologijom i istorijom umetnosti, arhitekture, nauke i tehnologije sa druge strane. Za istraživače CMS-a to nije bila jednokratna inicijativa završena krajem prošlog veka, jer se ova vrsta istraživanja nastavila tokom prve i druge decenije 21. veka.

Wavelets and stochastic theory: Past and future

AB  - In the paper, authors report on the interdisciplinary and extremely complex link between wavelets and stochastic processes. An insight into the history of wavelets has been provided presenting the fundamental conception of wavelets, as well as wavelet theory that emerged from stochastic processes. The multiresolution analysis corresponds to the Kolmogorov system which is a regular stationary stochastic process. It presents a significant link to the measurement problem in terms of positional notation which the wavelet domain hidden Markov model should be derived from. The optimal representation arises to be an issue requiring further elaboration extended to the general measurement and wavelet frames.

Deduction in Education: the Case of Serbia

AB  - The main goal of the paper is to provide insight into the current state of education in Serbia regarding the use of educational aspects of software re-lated to deduction, geometry and mathematical reasoning. Authors investigate to what extent and for what purposes teachers and students use such software. The consideration of the current state is substantiated by the examples of teaching practices at different school levels, and supplemented by the proposals which tend to contribute to deeper understanding of the topic. The most commonly used automatic deduction and calculation programs in Serbian education are GeoGebra, Photomath, Microsoft Math Solver, Desmos, and Wolfram Alpha. These mathematical software represent an advantageous topic for cross-curricular connection in schools which could be realized in many different ways. It is suggested in the context of connecting mathematics and physics to art, history of science, national history of science, philosophy, logic and psychology.

The overall goal is to define a direction for ensuring greater visibility of the cultural heritage of the Republic of Serbia, as well as obtaining continuity in the development of digital tools and procedures for the interpretation, protection, presentation, accessibility and availability of cultural heritage and the creation of public policies.

AB  - Obrazovni aspekti srednjovekovnog srpskog zidnog slikarstva prisutni su u školskoj nastavi, kao i u nastavnim planovima i programima za sve cikluse u obrazovnom sistemu Republike Srbije. Učenici imaju priliku da se upoznaju sa osnovama živopisa od osnovne škole kroz nastavne jedinice iz Likovne kulture, Istorije, Srpskog jezika i književnosti, Crtanja, slikanja i vajanja i Verske nastave. Primećeni istorijski diskontinuitet u teorijskom izučavanju i razumevanju vizantijskog i srpskog zidnog slikarstva jedan je od razloga da se istraživanje usmeri ka obrazovnim aspektima ovog vida slikarstva. Cilj rada je da se sagleda aktuelno stanje što bi predstavljalo polaznu tačku za formiranje preporuka za njegovo unapređenje.
AB  - Educational aspects of medieval Serbian wall painting are present in school teaching, as well as in curricula for all cycles in the education system of the Republic of Serbia. Students have the opportunity to learn about the basics of fresco painting from elementary school through the teaching units of Art, History, Serbian language and literature, Drawing, painting and sculpting, and Religious teaching. The observed historical discontinuity in the theoretical study and understanding of Byzantine and Serbian wall painting is one of the reasons to deal with their educational aspects in this paper. The goal of the paper is to review the current situation, which would be the starting point for the formation of recommendations for its improvement.

AB  - Artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly emerged as a transformative 
technology with potential applications in various fields, including education. With the increasing number of tools powered by AI technology and 
especially with the launch of the artificial intelligence-based language 
model, the ChatGPT, the issue of using AI has come to the center of 
interest for researchers in different fields, including social sciences and 
humanities, such as sociology, philosophy, pedagogy and religion studies, 
but also for students and teachers. We consider the potential of AI in education, including its ability to individualize learning, improve assessment 
and feedback, and enhance educational research, as well as the concerns 
about depersonalization of teaching, privacy, equity, quality of human 
interactions, and so on. Relying on the experience of education in Serbia 
and the UNESCO Education 2030 Agenda, we analyze the practice of 
using AI by teachers and students in Serbia.

Multidisciplinary Research of Bricks From Serbian Medieval Buildings

AB  - Within the tendency for digitization and study of heritage, it is relevant to point out to past projects that contributed to the same goals, but with technological means available at that time. During the 1980's and 1990's, by the approach of experts in various fields to the study of bricks of Serbian monumental medieval buildings, an integral study was obtained that includes history of brick use from ancient states to medieval Serbia, and results on composition, structure and properties of bricks from particular Serbian medieval buildings, as well as technology of their production. The project was realized within the Interdepartmental Committee for Multidiscipli-nary Study of Monuments of Medieval Culture of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, with Center for Multidisciplinary Studies of the University of Belgrade as the basis for research on materials. The thoroughness and comprehensiveness of the research brought to the publication of photo-documentation of the studied locations as part of the published project results. The photographs taken during the project offer us the opportunity to compare the then state of the studied sites, unique in time, with their current state. The former photo-documentation and the current tendency to digitize the archeological heritage optimized for re-use, provide the possibility of future chronological monitoring of the degradation and restoration of the site. A review of previous multidisciplinary projects that studied cultural heritage such as the study of medieval bricks, can serve as an insight into the possibilities offered by connecting natural and technical sciences with archeology, heritology and history of art, but also in future planning of similar projects.

AB  - U cilju rasvetljavanja paradoksalnosti antinomičnog para crno i belo do sada je ispitivano njihovo pojavljivanje u ikonopisu, nauci, mitologiji, simvolici, što je učinjeno razmatranjem ključnih činjenica, saznanja i paradigmatičnih epizoda. Sada su istraživanja dovedena do erminevtičkih limita, uzimajuću u obzir antičku mitologiju, istoriju nauke, biblistiku i ikonografiju. Izdvojeni su tehnološko-koloristički paradoks, kosmološki i astrofizički paradoks, paradoks iz epistemologije, te onirički paradoks. Kao vrhunjenje uzete su u razmatranje ikone Preobraženja, Raspeća i Vaskrsenja, starozavetni motiv izlaska iz Egipta i biblistički motiv Božanskog primraka. Da se zaključiti da istraživanja crnog i belog kao otvorena tema, u svakom vremenu nude integrativne i ultimativne mogućnosti i izazove.
AB  - In order to uncover the paradoxical nature of antinomic pair of black and white, so far their appearance in icon painting, science, mythology and symbolism has been examined, which has been done by considering key facts, findings, and paradigmatic episodes. Now, the examination has been brought to hermeneutical limits, taking into account the ancient mythology, history of science, biblical studies and iconography. Technological-coloristic paradox, cosmological and astrophysical paradox, paradox from epistemology, and oneiric paradox have been singled out. As the culmination, the icons of Transfiguration, Crucifixion and Resurrection have been considered, along with the Old Testament motif of the exodus from Egypt and the biblical motif of the cloud of unknowing. It has been concluded that research on black and white as an open topic, gives integrative and ultimate possibilities and challenges at all times.

AB  - U 10 godina nakon povratka sa studija u inostranstvu i početka visokoškolskog angažmana, Đorđe Stanojević je objavio osam knjiga među kojima su dva udžbenika: Apsolutno merenje i Eksperimentalna fizika. Udžbenik Apsolutno merenje namenjen za „slušaoce Velike škole i profesorske kandidate“ osmišljen je kao nastavni materijal namenjen profesorima fizike i đacima, ali i kao priručnik koji može biti od pomoći inženjerima. Obimna knjiga podeljena je na dva dela, teorijski i praktični, u kojima se osim prikaza osnovnih i izvedenih jedinica neizostavnih u prirodnim naukama i inženjerstvu, nalaze primeri i računski zadaci. U knjizi su objašnjene osnovne i izvedene jedinice čija je primena neophodna za precizan rad i nesmetano funkcionisanje mnogih segmenata društva, poput trgovine, građevine, arhitekture, rudarstva, vojske, pravosuđa i drugog.
AB  - During the ten years after Đorđe Stanojević came back from his studies abroad and started his higher education engagement, he published eight books among which two were textbooks: Absolute measurement and Experimental physics. The textbook Absolute measurement that was “meant for students and professors”, was conceived as a teaching material, but also as a handbook that could be of help for engineers. The extensive book was divided into two parts, the theoretical and the practical one, which contain review of basic and derived units of measurement that are necessary for the use in natural sciences and engineering, with examples and calculating tasks. Basic and derived units are presented, whose application is required for a precise work and smooth operation of many segments of society such as trade, construction, architecture, mining, the army, the judiciary and more.

Ethical and Religious Challenges within Metaverse

AB  - The current crisis has pointed out weaknesses and raised issues concerning the religious situation in the newly formed circumstances - in conditions of pandemic, war, isolation. The Internet with its growing influence on social patterns, and the metaverse as a proposed unique virtual world which is assumed to be the future in development of the global network, represent a new space for these challenges. Given that there is still no ethical consensus on virtual world issues, this paper discusses the possible implications of interactions in the virtual reality of the metaverse. Based on the current factual situation and assumptions, an analysis of the dichotomous relationship between the actual religious rites practice in the physical world and the expected virtual religious practice in the metaverse, was performed. Theoretical bases have been laid for further considerations of the influence of the metaverse phenomenon on religious behavior/practice, and on individual and social life, as well as for considerations of the responses that religion should give to the topical, set challenges. It was concluded that under certain conditions the metaverse can be an opportunity to respond to some of the challenges that religious communities face.

AB  - Svedoci smo brojnih istraživanja i teorijskih razmatranja, kako kod nas tako i u svetu, koja se bave analizom onlajn učenja. Pregled relevantne literature ukazuje na to da je pojava pandemije Covid-19 uslovila povećan broj radova iz ove oblasti, učestaliju primenu onlajn modela, kao i povećan broj termina koji definišu ovaj model učenja. I pored porasta zastupljenosti onlajn modela u obrazovnom procesu i upotrebe digitalnih medija često nailazimo na nedoumice po pitanju tog modela nastave. Ovim radom želeli smo da predstavimo prednosti i nedostatke onlajn nastave sa fokusom na realizovanje verske nastave u onlajn prostoru.

A review of relevant literature indicates that the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused larger number of papers in this field, more frequent use of online model, as well as an increasing number of terms that define this learning model. Despite the increase in the prevalence of online models in the educational process and the expansion of use of digital media, we often encounter doubts about online teaching. With this paper, we wanted to present the advantages and disadvantages of online teaching with a focus on the implementation of religious teaching (catechization) in the online space.

Demonstrirani su i objašnjeni paradoksi u primerima srpskih narodnih izreka. Upotpunjujući kompleksna i višedisciplinarna istraživanja izvršen je etimološki pregled termina za crno i belo u evropskim jezicima, posebno slovenskim, te pokazan zajednički koren reči za crno i belo.
AB  - The thorough permeation of civilization with the phenomenon of black and white and the paradoxes that arise, is discussed through examples from the basis of everyday experience. Examples of the paradox of black and white in clothing, gastronomy, anthropology, psychology, ornithological symbolism, and language are given. The paradoxes in the examples of Serbian sayings are demonstrated and explained. Complementing complex and multidisciplinary research, an etymological review of the terms for black and white in European languages, especially Slavic, was performed, and the common root of the words for black and white was shown.

Ethical and Religious Challenges within Metaverse

AB  - The current crisis has pointed out weaknesses and raised issues concerning the religious situation in the newly formed circumstances - in conditions of pandemic, war, isolation. The Internet with its growing influence on social patterns, and the metaverse as a proposed unique virtual world which is assumed to be the future in development of the global network, represent a new space for these challenges. Given that there is still no ethical consensus on virtual world issues, this paper discusses the possible implications of interactions in the virtual reality of the metaverse. Based on the current factual situation and assumptions, an analysis of the dichotomous relationship between the actual religious rites practice in the physical world and the expected virtual religious practice in the metaverse, was performed. Theoretical bases have been laid for further considerations of the influence of the metaverse phenomenon on religious behavior/practice, and on individual and social life, as well as for considerations of the responses that religion should give to the topical, set challenges. It was concluded that under certain conditions the metaverse can be an opportunity to respond to some of the challenges that religious communities face.

AB  - The complexity in the styles of 1200 Byzantine icons painted between 13th and 16th from Greece, Russia and Romania was investigated through the Kolmogorov algorithmic information theory. The aim was to identify specific quantitative patterns which define the key characteristics of the three different painting schools. Our novel approach using the artificial surface images generated with Inverse FFT and the Midpoint Displacement (MD) algorithms, was validated by comparison of results with eight fractal and non-fractal indices. From the analyzes performed, normalized Kolmogorov compression complexity (KC) proved to be the best solution because it had the best complexity pattern differentiations, is not sensitive to the image size and the least affected by noise. We conclude that normalized KC methodology does offer capability to differentiate the icons within a School and amongst the three Schools.

AB  - U radu je sintetizovano delovanje profesora Đorđa Stanojevića na polju beleženja i očuvanja nasleđa. Obuhvaćene su njegove praktične aktivnosti u vidu dokumentovanja i promovisanja istorijskog, pravoslavnog, kulturnog, prirodnog i muzičkog nasleđa, i stav koji je iskazao o ovoj temi. Stanojević je imao rukovodeću ulogu u Beogradskom pevačkom društvu, formirao je bogatu foto-dokumentaciju srpskih pravoslavnih svetinja, varoši, nošnji i pejzaža, i radio je na pripremi tekstova za godišnje kalendare. Zastupao je u javnom obraćanju stav o neophodnosti zaštite i značaju nasleđa. Način na koji ga kao zastupnika naroda percipira pesnik Jovan Jovanović Zmaj korelira sa njegovim aktivnostima. Rezultati rada ove značajne ličnosti iz druge polovine 19. i prvih decenija 20. veka pokazatelj su spoja kulturnog, istorijskog i naučnog nasleđa.
AB  - This paper synthesizes the work of a Serbian physics professor, Đorđe Stanojević, in the field of recording and preserving heritage. His practical activities in the form of documenting and promoting the historical, Orthodox, cultural, natural, and musical heritage, as well as the attitude he showed about this topic are likewise included here. Stanojević had a leading role in the Belgrade Singing Society, compiling a rich photo-documentation of Serbian Orthodox sacred material, local communities, landscapes, and folk dresses, as well as working on the preparation of texts for yearly calendars. In his public address he supported the necessity of heritage protection and its importance. The way in which his role of people’s representative was perceived by the famous Serbian poet and physician Jovan Jovanović Zmaj, is correlated with his activities. The legacy of this distinguished person from the second half of the 19th and the first few decades of the 20th century demonstrates the union of cultural, historical, and scientific heritage.

Savremena preopterećenost informacijama u kontekstu školskog sistema

AB  - Izraz preopterećenost informacijama odnosi se na zagušenje sistema i neodgovarajući kognitivni odgovor usled prezasićenosti informacijama. Količina primljenih podataka tada premašuje kognitivne potencijale pojedinca usmerene na obradu i korišćenje informacija. Cilj ovog rada je da pruži kratki osvrt na uticaj ovog fenomena na postignuća dece u školskom uzrastu, sa naglaskom na versku nastavu i ulogu katihete u usmeravanju i ukazivanju na potencijalno korisne načine korišćenja dostupnih informacija. U kontekstu verske nastave, upućivanje na odgovarajuću upotrebu informacionih tehnologija upotrebom tehnika filtriranja i ukazivanja na referentne i validne izvore informacija, može biti deo rešenja. Uloga nastavnika verske nastave mogla bi biti prepoznata u filtriranju dostupnih informacija, te prezentovanju učenicima samo onih koje su proverene i valjane, čime bi se pokušala preduprediti preopterećenost informacijama, ali i izbegla opasnost od izlaganja neproverenim i netačnim informacijama.
AB  - The term information overload refers to system clogging and inadequate cognitive response due to oversaturation with information, when the amount of data received exceeds the cognitive potentials of the individual aimed at processing and using that information. This paper aims to provide a brief overview of the impact of this phenomenon on the achievements of school-age children, with an emphasis on religious teaching at school, and the role of the catechist in guiding and pointing out potentially better ways of using available information. In the context of school system religious teaching, referring to the appropriate use of information technology using filtering techniques and pointing to reference and reliable sources of information may be part of the solution. The role of the catechist could be recognized in filtering available information and presenting to students only information that is verified and valid. That could prevent information overload, but also avoid the danger of exposure to unverified and inaccurate information.

AB  - Tokom 80-ih godina 20. veka saradnici Centra za multidisciplinarne studije Univerziteta u Beogradu i Srpske akademije nauka i umetnosti realizovali su prvu fazu projekta u okviru kojeg su ispitivane opeke monumentalnih srpskih građevina srednjeg veka prevashodno sakralnog tipa. Tema ovog multidisciplinarnog projekta se može posmatrati iz domena nauke o materijalima kao proučavanje tehnika pripreme građevinskog materijala u srednjem veku, ali se uporedo može posmatrati i kroz prizmu crkvenih studija u kojima se savremenim metodama proučavaju manastiri srednjeg veka. Prvi rezultati istraživanja obuhvatali su prezentovanje istorije upotrebe opeke u prominentnim državama antike kao i u srednjovekovnoj Srbiji, te eksperimentalno-savremeni deo. Objavljeni rezultati obogaćeni su foto-dokumentacijom koja sadrži atlas mikrostruktura, fotografije detalja manastira i fotografije samih manastira sa kratkim istorijskim opisom. Studije su respektabilni prilog koji je naučnoj, ali i široj populaciji u periodu oskudice materijala o srpskim manastirima učinio dostupnim rezultate istraživanja, kao i bogatu foto-dokumentaciju.
AB  - During the 1980s, the associates of the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies (CMS) of the University of Belgrade and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) finished the first phase of the project which deals with the examination of bricks from the monumental medieval Serbian buildings primarily of sacral type. The topic of this multidisciplinary project can be viewed from the domain of materials science as a study of preparation techniques of construction materials in the Middle Ages, but it can also be viewed through the prism of church studies in which medieval monasteries are studied by contemporary methods. The first results included the presentation of the history of bricks usage in prominent countries of antiquity and in medieval Serbia, as well as the contemporary experimental part. The published results were enriched by photo documentation which contains the atlas of microstructures, photographs of monastery details and photographs of monasteries themselves with brief historical descriptions. The studies are respectable contribution that made the results of the research, as well as the rich photo documentation, available to the scientific and wider population in the period of the scarcity of materials about Serbian monasteries.

Familiarity with State Regulations regarding Access to Information for Persons with Disabilities in Serbia

AB  - The quality of life of people with disabilities is largely influenced by their access to information. Good communication with state authorities is the key to knowing state regulations regarding this access, proposing their improvement, and monitoring their application in society. By using a convenient sample of 89 persons with disabilities, this study examined the extent to which the participants were familiar with these regulations, and whether this familiarity could be explained in terms of the quality of the participants' communication with state authorities concerning their access to information, as well as several background variables regarding the participants, including their gender, age, and educational level completed. It was found that the majority of participants were not familiar with these regulations. Path analysis evidenced the positive and significant direct influence of communication quality on familiarity with regulations (0.356,p lt  0.01), with the former positively influenced by age (40-49) and educational level completed (upper-secondary) to a significant degree (corresponding regression weights were 0.432,p lt  0.01, and 0.171,p lt  0.05, respectively). The path model applied could explain 12.7% of the variability of the familiarity in question. Implications for research and practice are included.

AB  - Neki od izazova sa kojima su suočena društva u savremeno doba su globalizacija i informaciono-komunikaciona revolucija. Plasiranje osmišljenog sadržaja putem interneta i popularnih platformi koreliše sa pretpostavljenim efikasnim načinima obraćanja mladim ljudima. Sa svešću o prednostima koje internet pruža, ali i potencijalnim opasnostima, cilj u ovom radu je da se podstakne na kreativno razmišljanje u smeru osmišljavanja budućih koraka delovanja katihetizacije na internetu, a naročito upotrebe interneta u školskom sistemu verske nastave. Navedena su tri inspirativna i motivišuća primera: kanal na YouTube platformi pod nazivom „Coffee with Sr. Vassa”, dokument Sinodalnog odeljenja Moskovske partijaršije Ruske pravoslavne crkve za odnose sa društvom i masovnim medijima pod nazivom „Video blogovi sveštenika Ruske pravoslavne crkve: smernice”, i poruka izlaganja arhimandrita Jefrema na konferenciji o odnosu pravoslavnog hrišćanstva i digitalnih medija održanoj 2015. godine u Atini.
AB  - Globalization and information & communication revolution are some of the challenges that societies in the modern era face. Placing the contrived contents via Internet and popular social networks correlates with the presumed efficient ways to address young people. With an awareness of the benefits of the Internet, but also of potential dangers, the goal of this paper is to encourage future creative actions on catechization on the Internet, and in particular, the use of the Internet in the school system religious teaching. Three inspirational and motivating examples are provided: the YouTube channel ”Coffee with Sr. Vassa”, the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and Mass Media of the Russian Orthodox Church document ”Video blogs of the Russian Orthodox Church priests: the guidelines”, and Archimandrite Efrem’s presentation at the conference on Orthodox Christianity and Digital Media which was held in Athens in 2015.

AB  - Tendencija spajanja prošlih i sadašnjih istraživanja svetlosti sa događajima koji će imati implikacije u budućnosti prezentovana je u ovom radu. Oslanjanjem na bogatu tradiciju istraživanja svetlosti izdvojene su odgovarajuće teme, koje su podeljene u četiri celine: Rane civilizacije, Judeo-hrišćanska civilizacija, Ličnosti i Stara srpska književnost. Prethodno koncipirano interdisciplinarno povezivanje nauke, kulture i teologije sada je dopunjeno i dovedeno u vezu sa međunarodnim Danom svetlosti koji je ustanovljen 2017. godine. Takav objedinjen sadržaj predstavlja potencijal za savremena istraživanja, teoriju i praksu, kao i za prezentaciju.
AB  - Tendency of merging past and present studies of light with the events which will have implications on the future is presented in this paper. Relying on the rich tradition of light research, suitable topics were selected and classified into four sections: Early civilizations, Judeo-Christian civilization, Persons and Old Serbian literature. Previous interdisciplinary integration of science, culture and theology has been extended and brought into connection with the International Day of Light founded in 2017. This conjoint approach represents a potential for modern research, theory and practice, as well as for the presentation.

Prethodno koncipirano interdisciplinarno povezivanje nauke, kulture i teologije sada je dopunjeno i dovedeno u vezu sa međunarodnim Danom svetlosti koji je ustanovljen 2017. godine. Takav objedinjen sadržaj predstavlja potencijal za savremena istraživanja, teoriju i praksu, kao i za prezentaciju., Tendency of merging past and present studies of light with the events which will have implications on the future is presented in this paper. Relying on the rich tradition of light research, suitable topics were selected and classified into four sections: Early civilizations, Judeo-Christian civilization, Persons and Old Serbian literature. Previous interdisciplinary integration of science, culture and theology has been extended and brought into connection with the International Day of Light founded in 2017. This conjoint approach represents a potential for modern research, theory and practice, as well as for the presentation.",

AB  - Access to information is key for improving the position of persons with disabilities in society. Familiarity with state regulations regarding access to information could be influenced by communication with state authorities concerning the rights of persons with disabilities, especially access to information. Familiarity with these regulations and the specified communication with state authorities might be affected by a number of background variables, such as age and education completed. To clarify relations among these variables, which would enable state authorities and other relevant institutions to define and implement policies that might improve matters, there is a need to prepare and analyze appropriate datasets concerning them. This paper describes such a dataset, preliminary in nature, obtained from answers to part of a questionnaire administered to persons with disabilities living in Serbia. Persons with innate or acquired physical and/or sensory disability were included in the research. This dataset contains raw data of nine variables, as well as analyzed data of ten variables derived from most of the raw data. Besides correlative analyses, the dataset was previously analyzed using PLS (partial least squares) path modeling. To reuse the dataset, a path model with Bayesian estimations may be applied, whose outcomes for different model priors (prior distributions) may be compared to those of the PLS path modeling. The dataset also contains data of two variables that may be included in further research.

AB  - U radu su izložena teorijska i praktična otkrića na koja se oslanjao Đorđe Stanojević prilikom klasifikovanja „vasionske energije“. Predstavljena je njegova sistematizacija oblika u kojima se javlja materija. To su: telo, molekul, atom i ćelija. Na osnovu oblika javljanja materije izvršena je podela „vasionske energije“ na energiju tela, „molekilarnu“ energiju, atomsku energiju i „ćelijčnu“ energiju. Podelu energije prati i podela prirodnih nauka čime Stanojević zaokružuje ne samo opštu klasifikaciju koja mu je cilj već i predmetno određenje prirodnih nauka.
AB  - Theoretical and practical findings on which Đorđe Stanojević relied upon when classifying “cosmic energy”, are displayed. His systematization of forms in which matter occurs is presented. These are: body, molecule, atom, and cell. Based on the form of matter, the division of the “cosmic energy” into an energy of a body, a molecular energy, an atomic energy and a cell energy, was made. The division of energy is followed by the division of natural sciences, by which Stanojević encompasses not only the general classification which was his goal but also the subject matter of natural sciences.

AB  - U cilju sagledavanja kreativnog procesa u radu je korišćen Valasov obrazac pomoću kojeg su pojedinačne faze kreativnog procesa upoređene sa različitim tipovima komunikacije. Ovakvim pristupom pokazuje se da je tokom kreativnog procesa razmena informacija konstantno prisutna. Svaki vid komunikacije ima za cilj formiranje određene i jedinstvene informacije koja delu daje autentičnost. Opisanim fazama dodata je još jedna koja je prisutna na određenim delima sakralne umetnosti. Proučavanjem kreativnog procesa na ovakav način primećuje se da se značaj umetničkog dela može uporediti i sa njegovim dosegom u sferi komunikacije.
AB  - In order to examine a creative process in this paper, the Wallas' four-stage model was used, through which the individual phases of a creative process were compared with different types of communication. This approach shows that during the creative process an exchange of information is constantly present. Each type of communication aims at forming a specific and unique information that gives the work its authenticity. As a supplement to the described phases, one additional phase which is present in certain works of sacred art, is given. By examining the creative process in this way, it can be seen that a significance of the artwork can be compared to its reach in the domain of communication.

AB  - The term wavelet implies a function generating base for decomposition of the finite energy signals both in spatial and in frequency domain concurrently. Construction of wavelets that have compact support and arbitrary high regularity was ultimately done by Ingrid Daubechies in 1988. Detailed subspaces of the multiresolution analyses are regarded to be the age eigenstates wandering in terms of the evolution. Future expansion of this topic would be useful.

AB  - U radu su integrisana prošla i buduća istraživanja u vezi sa ličnostima koje su se nakon obrazovanja stečenog u evropskim univerzitetskim i naučnim centrima posvetile unapređenju nauke, obrazovanja i kulture u Srbiji. Trag koji su ostavile danas nije primereno istaknut. Ovde je izvršena rekapitulacija rezultata skorašnjeg istraživanja međunarodne recepcije imena arhimandrita Pavla Kenđelca, a ispoljeni odnos profesora Đorđa Stanojevića prema kulturnom nasleđu predložen je za temu budućeg istraživanja.
AB  - In this paper we integrate past and future researches on the individuals who dedicated themselves to the improvement of science, education and culture in Serbia after they had been educated at European university and science centers. Their legacy is not properly highlighted today. Here, the results of the recent survey on the international reception of Archimandrite Pavle Kenđelac’s name are being recapitulated. Also, the expressed attitude of professor Đorđe Stanojević towards the cultural heritage has been proposed as a topic for future research.
