dc.description.abstractGround noise voltage generated by a logic gate on a signal return conductor is investigated in this paper. An analytical method for calculating the ground bounce and the factors that affect it are discussed. The efficiency of a ferrite EMI suppressor in minimizing its effects is also investigated. The measurement is obtained by digital oscilloscope. Measured data with and without implemented EMI suppressor are presented. The impact of various transition times of the driving signal on the ground bounce is analyzed and measured data are given. The measurement is obtained using an HP 8082A pulse generator.sr
