One of new courses on the fifth-academic year of new curriculum at the University of Novi Sad is "Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) in Electronics". The aim of this course is to provide knowledge of basic EMI design concepts through classical lectures, but also design of EMI suppression components using specially developed simulation tool. In this paper, a few typical design problems and measurement experiments are presented and discussed. Using specially developed simulation tool, student can solve laboratory exercise and learn to design EMI suppressors. In addition, using vector network analyzer and EMC test kit, they can study electrical characteristics of EMI filters currently available at the market and learn measurement techniques, necessary in their future work in the laboratories and in the industry.sr
