Значај производних и социјалних функција букових шума у Србији

Abstract

Klasifikacije funkcija šuma su mnogobrojne i različite, zavisno od vremena u kome su nastale i od kriterijuma prema kojima su sačinjene. Jedna od najsveobuhvatnijih i za naše i evropske uslove najznačajnijih je FAO klasifikacija na: proizvodne funkcije; funkcije očuvanja i zaštite (zaštitno-regulatorne) i rekreaciono - zdravstvene funkcije (socio-kulturne). Imajući u vidu aktuelan proces ugroženosti životne sredine, poznavanje ukupnih prirodnih potencijala, a posebno šuma, određene prostorne, geografske ili prirodne celine, je jedan od preduslova za sprečavanje ugrožavanja ekološke prirodne ravnoteže, odnosno očuvanje životne sredine u celini. Zbog zastupljenosti u šumskom fondu Srbije, bukove šume svakako imaju najveći značaj, zbog čega, sasvim opravdano, možemo konstatovati da je gazdovanje bukovim šumama mnogo kompleksniji i teži zadatak u odnosu na sve druge vrste drveća. U radu je ukazano na zastupljenost, proiozvodne i socijalne funkcije bukovih šuma in učinjen je pokušaj njihove valorizacije.

The classifications of forest functions are numerous and versatile, depending on the period in which they were created and on the criteria according to which they were made. One of the most comprehensive and the most significant classifications in our and European conditions is the FAO classification into: production functions; functions of conservation and protection (protection-regulation) and recreation - health functions (socio-cultural). Taking into account the actual process of environmental hazard, the study of the total natural potentials, and especially forest, of a definite spatial, geographical or natural unit, is one of the preconditions of the prevention of risks to ecological natural balance, i.e. environmental protection in general. Because of their percentage in the growing stock of Serbia, beech forests by all means have the highest significance. For this reason, it is justified to conclude that the management of beech forests is a much more complex and difficult task compared to other tree species. This paper points to the representation, production and social functions of beech forests and attempts at their evaluation.
