AB  - Starting hematite (Fe2O3), zinc oxide (ZnO) and manganese carbonate (MnCO3) powders were homogenized in a planetary ball mill in stainless steel bowls with stainless steel balls for 15 min, calcined in air at 1000 C for 2 h, milled in a planetary ball mill for 30 minutes, followed by 4 h in an aghate mill, sieved through a 325 mesh to form four starting powders: MnFe2O4, ZnFe2O4, Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 and a two-phase mixture of zinc and manganese ferrite. Structural properties of the obtained powders were analyzed using XRD, SEM and EDS. Electrical properties of disk shaped samples were measured at room temperature on an impedance analyzer in the frequency range 100 to 40 MHz, enabling determination and comparison of dielectric permittivity and complex impedance. Complex relative permeability of toroid shaped samples was measured on an impedance analyzer in the frequency range from 1 MHz to 500 MHz.

AB  - Pseudobrookite paste was composed of a mixture of starting nanopowders of hematite (α-Fe2O3) and anatase (TiO2) in the molar ratio 1:1.5, organic vehicle and glass frit. The paste was screen printed on on fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) glass substrate using screen printing technology. Structural, morphological and optical studies have been carried out using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The photo-electrochemical performance of Fe2TiO5 screen printed thick film was examined under xenon lamp illumination in 1 M NaOH electrolyte.

Particle size distribution in the milled powders was analyzed using a laser particle size analyzer and correlated with XRD and SEM analysis of the milled powders. Green disc and torroid samples were sintered in air in the temperature interval 800 -1300oC for 2 hours. SEM/EDS, AFM/MFM analysis of the sintered samples and measurements of their electrical properties such as DC resistance up to 500 MHz enabled establishment of a correlation between the microstructure and properties in the high-frequency range.

Particle size distribution was analyzed on a laser particle size analyzer and correlated with XRD and SEM analysis. The band gap was determined using UV/Vis spectroscopy. Green samples were sintered in a dilatometer and at 1000oC for 2h in air. Thermal diffusivity was determined from photoacoustic measurements. Electrical conductivity measurements were performed. The aim was to obtain pseudobrookite with properties suitable for polymer paste for thick films to be applied as gas sensors.

AB  - Starting nanopowders of TiO2 (anatase 99.7%) and a-Fe2O3 (hematite) were mixed in the weight ratio 60:40 and 40:60. Green samples were sintered in the temperature range 750-1250oC in air. Structural, morphological and electrical studies were carried out using XRD, SEM and EDS analysis and Hall measurements with the aim of analyzing the influence of the starting nanopowder structure on the resulting sample composition, density, grain size and electrical resistivity. Compared to pure anatase samples, the presence of hematite lowered the temperature of completion of the anatase to rutile phase transformation to 850oC. Formation of pseudobrookite was also noted at this temperature. Further increase in the sintering temperature lead to increase in sample density and grain size and decrease in the electric resistivity, Hall coefficient and mobility.

AB  - Thick films of nanostructured TiO2 (60 wt%) and alpha-Fe2O3 (40 wt%) were fabricated by screen printing technology on an alumina substrate. Samples were sintered in the temperature range 750-1350oC in air. Thick film paste was obtained by mixing anatase and hematite nanopowders in the ratio 3:2, an organic vehicle and binding glass frit. Structural, morphological and optical studies were carried out using XRD, SEM and EDS analysis and UV/Vis spectroscopy enabling correlation between optical and structural changes with the aim of applying the fabricated thick films as anodes in hotoelectrochemical cells for hydrogen generation and water splitting.

AB  - The effects of Zn-doping on the dielectric behavior and electrical properties of bulk alpha-Fe2O3 have been studied. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed the presence of two phases in all samples: hematite and spinel ZnFe2O4, with the amount of spinel phase increasing with increasing Zn content. Scanning electron microscopy analysis combined with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy showed that the Zn-bearing phase occurred in the form of individual spinel ZnFe2O4 grains in a hematite matrix. DC conductivity was measured in the temperature range 25-225°C (298-498 K). Impedance spectroscopy measurements in the same temperature range were carried out in the frequency range 100Hz to 10 MHz. Increase in the Zn content resulted in increased electrical conductivity and higher values of the dielectric constant. The resistance and capacitance of grains and grain boundaries were analyzed by modeling the experimental results using an equivalent circuit.

AB  - Dobijanje čip induktora višeslojnom tehnologijom (spajanjem zelenih feritnih listova na kojima su naneti delovi namotaja štampanjem PdAg paste) opisano je u najkraćem. Svojstva MnZn ferita u EMI opsegu data su na osnovu merenja impedanse Z(ω) i proračuna realativne permeabilnosti μr i dielektrične konstante εr. Merenje impedanse čip induktora različitih dimenzija i konstrukcije vršeno je takoće u EMI opsegu. Paralelno su u istom frekventnom opsegu vršena merenja impedanse na malim jezgrima sa više otvora dobijenim presovanjem i sinterovnjem istog materijala. Za kvalitativno-kvantitativnu analizu kao model usvojeno je paralelno RLC kolo. Dobijeni rezultati upoređeni su međusobno i sa najboljim literaturnim rezultatima.
